About us

Genomix4Life S.r.l. is an innovative start-up, spin-off of the University of Salerno
founded in July 2013 with the aim of biomarker discovery and development toward use in clinical practice. It is a leading provider of genomic services and solutions, with cutting edge next generation sequencing (NGS), microarray and bioinformatics equipment and expertise.

Genomix4Life offers technical advisory services in functional genomics and bioinformatics applied to medicine, forensics, animal husbandry and veterinary, agrifood and all other fields where these technologies find useful applications.

The company holds one of the largest genomics and bioinformatics capacities in Italy, comprising an facility for high-throughput sequencing of nucleic acids (Illumina HiSeq 2500, NextSeq 500, MiSeq RUO/FGx and Life Technologies Ion Torrent PGM) and access to Illumina HiSeq X Ten and Pacific Biosciences technologies, a microarray lab (Illumina BeadXpress Reader and iScan) and a bioinformatics core with access to high computational power (latest generation processors and a large on-line storage for genomics data). As the only Italian Illumina service provider in all areas of functional genomics (Illumina Certified Service Provider Program), Genomix4Life offers full support for translational sequencing projects – from experimental design to data generation and analysis.

A team of experienced scientists and bioinformaticians allows us to satisfy each customer specific needs, to personalize our service and to help our customers to reach their research objectives.

To identify new diagnostic tools against cancer and to contribute to innovation in the field of functional genomics and bioinformatics applied to personalized medicine, creating know-how and effective approaches to improve human health.

We strongly believe that biotechnologies, genomics and bioinformatics, if properly used, can lead our society towards a better future, where human needs are combined with those of our planet.
